Where is Uganda
Uganda is a very beautiful country with beautiful weather, although life can be chaotic in the cities. About 500 B.C. Bantu-speaking peoples migrated to the area now called Uganda. By the 14th century, three kingdoms dominated, Buganda (meaning "state of the Gandas"), Bunyoro, and Ankole. The country is named after the Baganda, who are the majority ethnic group. Many people farm in rural areas and coffee is an important export. Near lakes, the threat of malaria is high and this disease poses a huge problem for the country. Come and learn more about Uganda.
Uganda is twice the size of Pennsylvania in the United States of America. This land locked country is located in East Africa. Uganda is bordered to the west by the Democratic Republic of Congo. On the north Uganda borders Africa’s new state the Southern Sudan. To the eastern, Uganda shares the border with Kenya, while on the south there is Tanzania and Rwanda. Uganda lies across the Equator and is divided into three main areas—swampy lowlands, a fertile plateau with wooded hills, and a desert region. Lake Victoria forms part of the southern border.

Places to Visit in Uganda
There are lots of things to do for those looking for places to visit in Uganda. The country has some of the most unique things to do in world. Gorilla Trekking is what Uganda is mostly known for and can only be found in three countries, all of which are found in the great lakes region. Best Time To Visit Uganda
The best time to visit Uganda is pretty much all year round. The country straddles the equator so there are no true seasons, although March to May an October to November are wetter and less pleasant for gorilla tracking. There are plenty of things to do though - clustered in and around Uganda's ten national parks - with chimpanzee tracking, meeting the indigenous Batwa and seeing mighty Murchison Falls all high up the list. However, the best wildlife-viewing months in Uganda are during the Dry seasons from June to August and December to February. Primate walks in the forest are a big part of any safari in Uganda. The habitat of rainforests is, by default, very wet and one can't avoid rain completely after heavy rain, the skies opens to bright sunshine.
March-May and Oct-Nov see the highest rainfall, but gorillas are still lurking in the mist – although trekking to find them will be slippery and slower. However, accommodation and even gorilla permits can be much cheaper at this time. The best time to visit Uganda is June-Sep, which is the peak season – but Uganda remains happily oblivious to mass tourism and you won’t need to worry about crowds.
