Ngutuni Lodge Tsavo East
Ngutuni Lodge is a luxury safari lodge in Kenya. This lodge is located in the heart of a 10,000 acre private game sanctuary. It is surrounded on three sides by Tsavo East National Park. Ngutuni Lodge overlooks a water hole. This safari lodge in Kenya is set against the spectacular backdrop of the Sagala Hills. It is only 2.5 hours drive for those on Kenya safari Mombasa and its international airport. The sanctuary was once home to the infamous 'man eating lions of Tsavo. These lions preyed on men constructing the railway line between Mombasa and Kampala. Ngutuni Lodge is spectacularly constructed from large timber poles. It comes with plunging thatched roofs and waxed timber decking. This lodge skillfully blends traditional African design with the modern comforts of a luxury lodge.
Life at Ngutuni lodge follows a delightful routine. Early mornings and late afternoons are spent game viewing. This is the best time to observe animals foraging for food in the surrounding savannah. Evenings are spent relaxing with safari companions. This is the time to enjoy a sundowner overlooking the softly illuminated waterhole. This is before a sumptuous dinner and to enjoy a few quiet moments under star lit skies. This is as you savor the lights and sounds of the African bush.
Rooms and Facilities at Ngutuni Lodge
Ngutuni Lodge has 48 guest rooms in Total. Each of the rooms at this Kenya safari lodge in Tsavo can sleep up to three people. This is in one single and one double bed that are in the rooms. Many of the guest rooms have interconnecting doors, making the Lodge ideal for those on African safari with children and larger parties. All of the rooms at Ngutuni Lodge are spacious and tastefully furnished. They come with en suite shower rooms. Private balconies overlook the large water hole. The water hole is illuminated at night for evening game viewing.

Ngutuni Lodge does not have any specific facilities for disabled guests. However ground floor rooms are suitable for wheel chair safari goers. There is a small flight of steps at the entrance to the property (approx 6 steps). Thereafter, the ground floor of the lodge is on a single level except for one small step. This is between the main restaurant / bar area and guest bedrooms. All rooms are the same size and have ample room for wheel chair use. It is important to note that the bathrooms have shower only. The lodge staff can also provide assistance, if required, for movement around the property.
Restaurant and Bars
Ngutuni Lodge is renowned for its food. The Lodge’s restaurant offers panoramic views over the endless savannah. Here you will be served delicious choice of Kenyan specialties and international favorites. All the ingredients are locally sourced cooked fresh. They include delicious homemade bread, fruit and vegetables. There are sweet potatoes and other local favorites such as freshly ground coffee.
Cancellation / Prepayment
PAYMENT & RESERVATIONS POLICY
Reservation and confirmation of a room at Ngutuni Lodge has requirements. Clients are required to pay 50% down payment for the requested services. The balance will be required at least 14 days prior to your date of arrival.
African Safari Tour will hold a reservation for up to seven days at a client's request. This is to allow the client time to send a deposit payment. This is if Ngutuni Lodge booking are over a month prior to the service. This must be received before we can confirm your booking. If confirmation is not received within the seven days all blocked rooms at Ngutuni Lodge will be automatically released for re-sale. The full amount of the service must be made within 14 days of date of arrival at Ngutuni Lodge. As for bookings within a month of service, full payment shall be requested for. This will be required before confirmation of Ngutuni Lodge is undertaken.
All cancellations must be received in writing. This will take effect from the date received by African Safari Tour. The following cancellation charges will apply.
More than 56 days before departure: No cancellation fee
56-49 days before departure: 25%
48-29 days before departure: 35%
28-0 days before departure: 100%
The non-issuing of an invoice or non-payment of deposit will not exempt passengers from these cancellation and administration fees. We regret we can make no exception to the charges and strongly recommend that insurance is taken out to cover cancellation fees. These cancellation charges can vary subject to the trading terms of our suppliers.
Children and extra beds
Children older than 2 years are welcome at Ngutuni Lodge. One child from 2 to 11.9 years is charged 50 % of the room stay per night and person in an extra bed.
The maximum number of extra beds for children in a room is 2.
Any type of extra bed or child's cot/crib is upon request and needs to be confirmed by management.
Supplements are not calculated automatically in the total costs and will have to be paid for separately during your stay.
