Ngutuni Lodge

Ngutuni Lodge is a luxury safari lodge in Kenya. This lodge is located in the heart of a 10,000 acre private game sanctuary. It is surrounded on three sides by Tsavo East National Park.

Ngutuni Lodge overlooks a water hole. This safari lodge in Kenya is set against the spectacular backdrop of the Sagala Hills. It is only 2.5 hours drive from Mombasa and its international airport.

The sanctuary was once home to the infamous ‘man eating lions of Tsavo. These lions preyed on men constructing the railway line between Mombasa and Kampala.

Ngutuni Lodge is spectacularly constructed from large timber poles. It comes with plunging thatched roofs and waxed timber decking. This lodge skillfully blends traditional African design with the modern comforts of a luxury lodge.

Life on Kenya safari at Ngutuni lodge follows a delightful routine. Early mornings and late afternoons are spent game viewing. This is the best time to observe animals foraging for food in the surrounding savannah.

Evenings are spent relaxing with Kenya tour safari companions. This is the time to enjoy a sundowner overlooking the softly illuminated waterhole. Rooms and Facilities at Ngutuni Lodge

Ngutuni Lodge has 48 guest rooms in Total. Each of the rooms at this Kenya safari lodge in Tsavo can sleep up to three people. This is in one single and one double bed that are in the rooms.

Many of the guest rooms have interconnecting doors, making the Lodge ideal for those on African safari with children and larger parties.

All of the rooms at Ngutuni Lodge are spacious and tastefully furnished. They come with en suite shower rooms. Private balconies overlook the large water hole. The water hole is illuminated at night for evening game viewing.

Disabled Facilities

Ngutuni Lodge does not have any specific facilities for disabled guests on safari. However ground floor rooms are suitable for wheel chair safari goers.

There is a small flight of steps at the entrance to the property (approx 6 steps). Thereafter, the ground floor of the lodge is on a single level except for one small step. This is between the main restaurant / bar area and guest bedrooms.

All rooms are the same size and have ample room for wheel chair use. It is important to note that the bathrooms have shower only. The lodge staff can also provide assistance, if required, for movement around the property.

Restaurant and Bars

Ngutuni Lodge is renowned for its food. The Lodge’s restaurant offers panoramic views over the endless savannah. Here you will be served delicious choice of Kenyan specialties and international favorites.

All the ingredients are locally sourced cooked fresh. They include delicious homemade bread, fruit and vegetables. There are sweet potatoes and other local favorites such as freshly ground coffee.
