Day 1: Kampala –Murchison Falls National Park

About Murchison Falls National Park

Murchison falls national park is situated in the northwestern part of Uganda. This is the largest of Uganda National Parks. It covers an area of about 4000 kilometers squared.

Day 3: Murchison Falls – Kibale Forest National Park

The day starts with and early breakfast. Your 6 days Uganda safari tour then departs to Kibale National Park. This will be a scenic long drive which will take approximately 8 hours.

You will go through Masindi and Hoima past Lake Albert. On a clear day, the view on the top of the Albert rift is spectacular. Enjoy some lunch before you head towards the legendary ‘Mountains of the moon’.

The drive traverses the scenic tea plantations to Fort portal. This historic town is in the foothills of the Ruwenzori Mountains. Your arrival will; be in time for hot shower, dinner and overnight at Rwenzori View Guest House.

Kibale National Park

This forest has one of the richest ecosystems in the whole of Africa. It contains over 340 birds species and 14 species of snakes. There are 27 species of frogs and toads and at least 20 species of other reptiles. Kibale is known to have at least 200 species of butterflies.

Other animals here include chimpanzee, elephant, bush pig, giant forest hog, bats and rodents.


Kibale National Park is a primatologist’s dream. It hosts a population of more than 1,000 chimpanzees. Of this one 80-strong community has been habituated to tourist visits.

Kibale has a-dozen observed monkey species. They include the acrobatic red colobus and black-and-white colobus, and the handsome L’Hoest’s monkey.

Kibale in essence is a migratory route and corridor. It is between Queen Elizabeth National park and parks to the north.

Queen Elizabeth national Park

Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of the most popular game parks in Uganda and in east Africa.  It is located in the western part of Uganda about 376km from Kampala.

Queen Elizabeth national park is known for its variety of wildlife. most of the wildlife here killed in the Uganda-Tanzania war.

The park is a true nature hub with several natural attractions. This makes Queen Elizabeth National park a suitable option for Uganda safaris.

It has volcanic features which include volcanic cones and deep craters. QENP also includes the Maramagambo Forest, not to mention the various species. Some of them can be found in the outer part of Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park
