Day 1: Salt Rock (KwaZulu Natal)
You’ll be welcomed on arrival at King Shaka International Airport. This is where our South African safari rep will meet you. He will brief you on the 5 day South African safari. This is before you enjoy a transfer to Salt Rock. You’ll spend the remainder of the day is at leisure. You can enjoy a stroll along the golden beach. A swim in the sparkling Indian Ocean may help to revitalize your body. Today’s accommodation will be at Canelands Beach Club. This is booked on bed and breakfast basis.
Day 2: KwaZulu Natal – St Lucia (240Kms)
The South African safari starts early. This is to see the spectacular sight of the sun rising over the ocean. You’ll have the morning at leisure to explore the nearby rock pools. You may also decide to take it easy and relax by the pool. You’ll be picked up by our safari guide and drive north. Your destination is South Africa’s oldest game reserve, Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park. You’ll have a qualified and experienced local guide as you get open vehicle safari. Hluhluwe-iMfolozi is home to the Big Five. The park is however well known for its rhino conservation. The reserve has been instrumental in restocking to life the endangered white rhino. back from the brink of extinction. You’ll proceed to the iSimangaliso Wetland Park. This is a World Heritage Site. iSimangaliso Wetland Park is also one of South Africa’s wilderness treasures. You’ll spend the night in St Lucia at Seasands Lodge booked on bed and breakfast.
Day 3: St Lucia – Swaziland (320Kms)
Your South African safari day will start early. You’ll have an early morning cruise on the St Lucia Estuary. This offers you one some wonderful photographic opportunities. Here you may see large pods of hippos, the occasional Nile crocodile and prolific birdlife. Your 5 day South African safari then heads north. Today you’ll go across the border into Swaziland. It is one of the few remaining monarchies in Africa. You will spend the night at Summerfield Luxury Hotel & Botanical Garden. Your accommodation is on bed and breakfast basis.
Day 4: Swaziland – Hazyview(330 Kms)
Your South African safari will begin with breakfast at your hotel. You’ll then visit an authentic chief’s village. Here you’ll be aiming to gain an insight into the fascinating traditional Swazi culture. This is a two hour cultural experience. This allows you to engage with the residents as they parade their culture and traditions. You’ll be invited to participate in their cultural practices. Do not feel shy to join the party. Your South African safari then crosses over into South Africa. You’ll have a stop for lunch overlooking the Crocodile River. This lunch will be at cost. The river is the natural border of the Kruger National Park. Your 5 day South African safari arrives late afternoon into Hazyview. It is the starting point of safari to Kruger National Park. You’ll be accommodated at Perry’s Bridge Hollow Boutique Hotel on bed and breakfast.
Day 5: Departure
This is the last day of your South African safari. It comes to an end at 1100hrs after checking out of your hotel. You’ll have a transfer to the airport or get on another tour.
