3 Days Kruger Safari Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Johannesburg to Private Game Reserve

You will be met on arrival for the Kruger Safari Tour by our South African safari guide. This will be followed by departure to the private game reserve. On arrival at your Game Lodge, we leave on a 3-hour sunset game drive. This will be done in an open sided land cruiser in search of the Big Five. The sunsets over the bush are magnificent rapidly followed by nightfall.

With the aid of a spotlight, you’ll scout for the nocturnal animals roaming this African wilderness. Dinner is a bush braai (barbecue) cooked over an open fire. This is at the Marula Tree Boma under a canopy of stars. Dinner over, you’ll continue the search for prowling predators as you head back to our lodge. With luck, we may see lion, hyena, jackal or perhaps the elusive leopard.

Back at your private lodge, you may unwind in your en-suite, air-conditioned chalets. You can decide to wander in the sub-tropical garden. Dinner and overnight on this 3 days Kruger safari package will be at your lodge.

Your day on Kruger Safari Tour starts with an early hearty breakfast. This will be followed by boarding the open sided game viewing vehicles. You will head out to Orpen Gate, Kruger National Park. The elevated safari vehicle is ideal for game spotting and photo opportunities.

The game drive will concentrate the search in the Orpen / Satara area of the Park. Satara is renowned as an excellent game viewing area. The bush is open and there are large plains that support vast herds of giraffe, zebra and other antelope. These always draw hungry predators as there are many food opportunities on offer.

The Satara region of Kruger National Park boasts one of the largest concentrations of lions in Africa. At the end of an exciting day we head off to the delightful Treehouse Camp. This is located in a private game reserve near Kruger National Park. You will relax around the campfire reliving our unforgettable bush experience.

The silent approach means you are able to get up close to the animals. This is safe in the knowledge you are accompanied by our armed game ranger.

The ranger is a bush expert and will point out various interesting details. They include animal tracks, scats, insects, and birds. You will drive back to camp for breakfast. Your Kruger Safari Tour will then head out via the Drakensberg Escarpment back to Johannesburg. This route takes you on the scenic Panorama Route.
