Detailed 4 day Cheap Kenya Safari Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi – Lake Nakuru National Park

You will be picked up from your Nairobi hotel or airport in the morning. Our representative will brief you on this cheap Kenya safari tour.

Later you will leave Nairobi and drive to the Great Rift Valley viewing scenery en-route. Your arrival in Lake Nakuru National Park will start with a short game drive.

Proceed to Wildlife Clubs of Kenya for lunch and check in. Embark on an evening game drive at 1600hrs. This will take you to the shores of flamingo filled lake Nakuru.

Be on the lookout for the famous white Rhino and black rhino found in this park. You will have your dinner and overnight at Wildlife Club of Kenya Hostels.

Lake Nakuru National Park

Lake Nakuru National Park is spectacular. It has been a blazing sea of deep pink flamingos – millions of them!

Their intense fuchsias bursting against Lake Nakuru’s deep blue alkaline waters. Quite simply… it has until some few years ago been the most brilliant show of bird life on earth.

Due to some progressive natural factors, the flamingo numbers have been reducing. But the park itself remains stunning – one of Kenya’s finest.

Great rocky escarpments tower over acacia forest. There are waterfalls, wooded hills and euphorbia trees dot the lake.

The few quantities of flamingos is accompanied by other bird life. They include pelicans, cormorants, kingfishers, ostriches, storks as well as herons and eagles. The scene here is bountiful, busy and full of color.

But that’s only the beginning of what this special park has to offer. The wildlife viewing here is easy and accessible.

Lake Nakuru is known for hosting some endangered but beautiful species. You’re sure to see rare Rothschild’s Giraffe. This is along with white rhino, especially along the lake shore.

The park is also sanctuary to one of Kenya’s largest populations of black rhino.

Another aspect to the active wildlife viewing here is observing the park’s wildlife. They include zebra, hippo, olive baboon, vervet and colobus monkeys, waterbuck and hyena. Big safari wildlife to be on the lookout for includes lion, cheetah, leopard and buffalo.

The park is fenced to protect the rhino and giraffe. It can’t support elephants – the only large mammal you won’t find here.

Day 2: Lake Nakuru-Masai Mara National Reserve

Wake up to an early breakfast at your camp. This will be followed by departure to Masai Mara National Reserve. The drive goes through the floor of the Great Rift Valley.

You will arrive at Mara Wildebeest Camp in time for lunch. After a short rest you will venture out for an evening game drive. This is a two hours game tracking that begins at 1600 hrs. You will be looking for the Lion, Cheetah, Elephant, Buffalo and other members of the Big five.

There are other animals that include the herbivores and birds in this park. Drive back for dinner and overnight at Mara Wildebeest Camp.

Masai Mara National Reserve

This is the gifted park rated 8th wonder in the world is situated in the southwest of Kenya, seated on an area of 1,510 sq. km (583 square miles) in Great Rift Valley’s open grassland.

This great destination is a land of breathtaking moments. It is filled with abundant wildlife and endless plains. The quintessential Masai Mara safari delivers many attractions. They include the wildebeest, zebras and other antelopes. This and many make up the famous Great Migration, race crossing Mara River. Here some reptiles and other carnivores lay traps to hunt down the migrants.
